Student opportunities and activities
At Holroyd School, we offer a diverse range of programs and learning experiences that support students to develop confidence, build friendships and explore new interests. Our focus is on the whole child - socially, emotionally, physically and academically - through personalised, inclusive and engaging educational programs.
Every student has an Individual Learning and Support Plan (ILSP), developed collaboratively by teachers, families and support staff to ensure individual growth and achievement. These plans are implemented through evidence-based programs and initiatives such as:
- Music program (Mondays): In partnership with Rhythm Village, students engage in music-making activities that foster creativity, communication and wellbeing.
- Mini fit program: A physical activity program designed to improve coordination, balance and confidence.
- In-school swimming: Utilising our on-site swimming pool to support fitness, safety and wellbeing.
- Work experience and work readiness programs: Preparing students for post-school pathways through practical work experience and skills development.
- Excursions and incursions: Providing authentic learning experiences beyond the classroom to enrich the curriculum.
At Holroyd School, fostering participation, enjoyment and skill development is central to our work. Our programs support all students to achieve their potential in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.
