Facilities

Classrooms

All classrooms within our school are well resourced with modern technology, a small kitchenette and personal hygiene area. Classrooms are heated and air conditioned.

Playgrounds

The school is fortunate to have a number of distinct playgrounds. This enables staff to provide both active and passive play areas in age-appropriate social groups. Our primary and high school aged students enjoy separate playgrounds with activities selected to meet their needs. These include music, fully enclosed trampolines and play equipment.

Liberty swing and whirly go round

A Liberty Swing and Whirly Go Round are located near the school hall. They are used by all our students but are specially designed to accommodate students in wheelchairs.

Bike track

The school has two bike tracks, one each for primary and secondary students, to learn to ride our range of adapted trikes and bikes.

Hydrotherapy pool

We offer three undercover pools, two of which are heated indoor pools for hydrotherapy. The outdoor pool is cooler and used for active swimming programs.  All three pools are comfortably used throughout the year.

Hall

The school hall, which has a covered outdoor learning area, is used for assemblies, concerts and indoor play activities. It also provides a great venue for community events.

Multi-sensory room

The multi-sensory room has been developed for students with severe and multiple disabilities, offering them specialised interactive resources for sensory stimulation.

This purpose-designed facility is located in the hall building.

Library

The school has a large library with state-of-the-art communications, audio-visual facilities and a large selection of books and sensory toys catering for students’ varied interests.

Kitchens

A specialised kitchen is available for both primary and high school students. It provides opportunities for students to learn about food preparation, storage and hygiene.

TRAILS buses

The Trails charity provides a fleet of mini buses for the school to use to assist students to access the community for their learning programs.
