At Holroyd School, we take a whole school approach to wellbeing in line with the department's Wellbeing Framework and through the implementation of the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) program.

At the start of 2009, the school implemented the PBL program aimed at all students developing positive behaviours within the school and the wider community.

PBL is based on 3 core school rules:

  • we learn
  • we care
  • we are safe.

Within these rules we have developed individual sets of behavioural expectations based on basic social skills for different environments.

Since the beginning of 2009, your child has participated in weekly lessons such as ‘keeping hands and feet to ourselves', ‘being kind to our friends', ‘listening, looking and waiting' and ‘staying in our own space'.
